Yeah, that’s a thing Johnsonville would definitely sponsor

Shin kicking (aka hacking and purring) originated in the 17th century and originally the players would wear wooden clogs with metal ends, later steel toe-capped boots . The game is to take down your opponent or one to give in by saying, ‘sufficient’.

Now things have been toned down somewhat and they wear regular footwear an d pad out there shins by wearing long socks packed with hay.

Last y ear, during the men’s Wold Cup Soccer finals, one of our local sports bars had the game on the big screen. Off to the side, o n a small side screen, they were showing a cornhole tournament. A reasonably large gr oup gathered to watch the soccer game, and a smaller group decided to watch cornhole.

As the afternoon progressed, more and more people started to migrate from soccer to cornhole. By mid-afternoon, almost everyone was bunched in front of the small screen watching cornhole while the big screen with World Cup S occer was empty. By this time, almost everyone had a favor ite cornhole team, and people were cheering loudly on almost each shot.

About 3.2 billion people - 46.4% of the world population - watched the World Cup. Here in Florida, we watched cornhole.

I’ve learned something new today.  I’m not entirely sure what to do with this, but I know it now.
